R&D Technician

We are seeking a R&D Technician to support scientific projects and laboratory testing in our R&D team at the Schaumburg, IL office.

Salary range: $44K-$52K, commensurate with experience.

• Assist in preparing formulations for dental materials (e.g., adhesives, composites, etc.)
• Assist in preparing dental specimens for material testing
• Conduct material characterization, physical property, application, and analytical testing
• Document laboratory experiments
• Provide technical support, training, and general information on laboratory activities
• Assist in maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments
• Assist in laboratory cleanliness via 5S activities
• Conduct work in a safe and effective manner in accordance with all HSE requirements
• Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives
• Comply with BISCO policies and procedures
• Perform other laboratory duties as assigned

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• General computer skills (Windows, email, internet); proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel); able to learn and use business software applications
• Able to use or learn to use laboratory equipment, instruments, and lab notebooks
• Able to communicate technical information

Preferred:

• Associate Degree
• Previous experience in medical device or testing laboratories
• Previous experience in handling chemicals
• Experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

The position requires working out of the Schaumburg, IL office.
