We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Field Fiber Splicing Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic networks in various field environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently. • Perform fiber optic splicing, including fusion and mechanical splicing techniques to ensure optimal signal transmission.
• Install and maintain network infrastructure including Ethernet, telephony, and low voltage cabling systems.
• Set up and configure Cisco routers and other networking equipment to support network connectivity.
• Conduct field service tasks such as troubleshooting network issues, testing cabling with ohmmeters, and repairing damaged fibers or cables.
• Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, install, and repair telecommunication infrastructure.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams related to fiber optics and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical work and low voltage systems during all field operations.
• Document work performed accurately and report on system status or issues for further action.

• Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, or related field service roles.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, Ethernet networking, telecommunication systems, and cabling practices.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools used in fiber optic splicing and electrical work.
• Knowledge of telephony systems, low voltage wiring, mechanical components, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
• Service technician experience preferred, especially within telecommunications or electrical industries.
• Ability to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams; mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices.
