Position Summary
The Building Services Technician shall perform duties under the general direction of the Industrial Services Manager. You will work closely with other Maintenance Coordinators and independently to maintain, repair, install, and oversee equipment and structures to ensure a safe, consistent, and quality facility. Job duties include installation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and design modifications of facilities and utility equipment such as plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, electrical, steam, construction, network systems, security systems, fire alarm systems, building automation, and pest control.
WhatYou'll Learn (Responsibilities)
- Perform preventative maintenance, install and/or repair facilities and related equipment.
- Participate in monthly after‑hours call rotation to contain and correct emergency situations with minimal damage.
- Schedule, prioritize and document workload; maintain work records on equipment.
- Attend training to maintain or gain knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, general mechanical, plumbing, network and building management systems.
- Utilize technical materials such as equipment manuals, SDS, safety materials, system and equipment drawings, Process and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs), schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot and maintain systems.
- Perform office relocation tear‑downs and setups; maintain and repair office furniture, carpet, and conference room equipment.
- Assist with conference room set‑up and outside set‑ups.
Pay range is $27.00 to $30.00 per hour with an additional shift premium for 2nd shift of $0.75 per hour and 3rd shift of $1.25 per hour.

- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Manufacturing or related experience preferred, especially within food manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience; experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems preferred.
- Detail‑oriented; works effectively in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Knowledge of Card Access (Honeywell), CCTV, and Building Management Systems (Johnson Controls, Tritium) preferred.
- Ability to obtain necessary certification/licenses.
- Results‑focused; strong priority setting and timely decision making.
- Pro‑active, action‑oriented, and passionate about results.
- Excellent time management, organizational, multi‑tasking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in use of hand tools and basic power tools (electrical and pneumatic).
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
- Dependable and strong work ethic.
- Comfortable with physical labor and working with machinery.
- Adaptable and embraces safety practices.
- Works well in a team and practices good teamwork.
- Problem‑solves and troubleshoots independently.
