Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Make Ready II Technician to join our maintenance team in the multifamily industry. This role is responsible for ensuring vacant apartment homes are fully prepared and meet company standards prior to new resident move-in. The technician also supports the maintenance team with routine maintenance tasks and service requests and participates in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends.
The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance experience, a solid work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Complete repairs, replacements, and touch-ups to ensure apartments are move-in ready.
- Repair or replace appliances, fixtures, flooring, and cabinetry as needed.
- Patch and paint walls, ceilings, and trim to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Change locks and prepare keys for new residents.
- Work closely with the Property Manager and Lead Maintenance to prioritize work orders and ensure timely unit turnovers.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and work orders.
- Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more.
- Follow all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations regarding the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics, and Freon.
- 1+ years’ experience in multifamily property maintenance.
- EPA Certification.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with basic plumbing and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using common maintenance tools and equipment.
