Schedule / Pay:This position typically works day shift, Monday through Friday, with an expected schedule of 35–45 hours per week and overtime opportunities available. Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do:As a Non‑Emergency Medical Transportation Driver, you will provide safe, reliable, and secure transportation for passengers traveling to and from medical appointments, dialysis treatments, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, residences, and other healthcare facilities. This role combines defensive driving, mobility assistance, customer‑focused service, and professional coordination with dispatch and care teams to ensure each trip is completed successfully and with kindness.
Responsibilities:- Safely operate a wheelchair‑accessible company vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Load, position, and secure passengers using wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement equipment.
- Complete trip documentation, perform vehicle inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and appearance.
- Communicate with dispatch throughout the day regarding trip status, delays, and route updates.
- Interact with passengers, caregivers, and facility staff with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license required.
- Clean driving record with no moving violations within the past 3 years and no motor vehicle‑related arrests, revocations or suspensions ever.
- 1 year or more of commercial van, straight truck, bus or similar vehicle driving experience.
- Excellent work ethic, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a client‑facing service environment with professionalism, discretion, and dependability.
- All candidates must successfully pass required background screening, DMV review and DOT drug testing which includes cannabis and its related products.
- Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, and manually move clients in wheelchairs throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and maneuver at least 50 pounds without restriction.
