Job Title:
Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Reports To:
Client Services Supervisor, Client Services Manager, or equivalent leadership.
- 3 years of experience working in a mail facility or similar background
- Valid driver license (candidates must be at least 25 years of age to meet fleet insurance requirements)
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with scheduling or calendar software, logistics tracking software (experience with Bear Tracks is a plus), database software, Numbers or Excel, and Pages or Word
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Material handling skills, including ability to use motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts (in locations where they are needed), pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to perform physical activities: lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull equipment, bend/stoop/squat/kneel, and reach above shoulders
- Background and experience working in a warehouse or loading dock environment, with exposure to varied weather conditions
- Cross-trained to support all tasks required for the site, including routes, receiving, mail services, shipping, floaters, freight coordination & logistics, loading dock operations, and customer service/help desk
- Experienced with and able to troubleshoot issues regarding tracking software, secure lockers, and other tools & technology used by the SRM team
- Remain flexible and ready to support the needs of the business; in some field offices, collaborate with cross‑functional partners to support waste, secure waste, and eWaste programs
- Superior communication skills, with an ability to summarize and share relevant information in a clear and easy‑to‑understand way across all levels
- Acts with a sense of urgency and quickly responds to emails, texts, and phone calls to provide a high standard of service to customers and colleagues
