Enthusiastic Tutors and Specialists (In Person Only)

We are looking for experienced tutors who can teach multiple subjects at our learning center in McLean, VA. The role is fully in‑person and requires a commitment of at least one year with our students. Applicants can be teachers, college students, retirees, or anyone who enjoys working with children.

• Hourly pay $15–$25 based on experience.
• Signing bonus $150 after 90 days.

• Provide tutoring to up to three students per hour on different subjects.
• Teach students how to learn, fostering a growth mindset and positive classroom environment.
• Maintain effective boundaries and help students stretch academically while providing a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

• Ability to work in‑person at the McLean, VA learning center.
• Commit to at least 10 hours per week, including a minimum of two 3‑hour shifts; more is preferred.
• Must be available to teach during the school‑year schedule (Mon‑Thu 3–9 pm, Fri 3–7 pm, Sat 9 am–3 pm) and the summer schedule (Mon‑Thu 9 am–8 pm, Fri 9 am–5 pm, Sat 9 am–2 pm).
• Bachelor’s degree or college student with at least 60 credit hours.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills, prior tutoring experience, and thorough content knowledge of reading/writing, math, high‑school algebra, chemistry/physics, and college test prep (SAT/ACT).
• Passion for student success and ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment.
• Competent in multitasking and confident in tutoring three students simultaneously.
