Project Manager, Electrical Engineering, Operations Manager

We have been engaged by our client and are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Project Manager to join a fast-paced electrical/lighting organization. This role is responsible for managing multiple lighting and controls projects simultaneously from quotation through project closeout, ensuring on-time delivery, technical accuracy, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of lighting systems, controls, and manufacturer rep networks, and thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment.

• Manage multiple lighting and controls projects concurrently in a high-volume environment
• Review project specifications, drawings, and lighting schedules for accuracy and feasibility
• Perform lighting takeoffs and review photometric layouts as required
• Coordinate with manufacturers, rep agencies, distributors, contractors, and internal teams
• Develop and manage project timelines, submittals, pricing, and order execution
• Track shipments, resolve discrepancies, and proactively manage project risks
• Provide technical guidance on lighting products, controls integration, and applications
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, energy codes, and customer expectations
• Support sales and estimating teams with product knowledge and project insight
• Maintain clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

• 3–7+ years of project management experience in the lighting or electrical industry
• Strong knowledge of lighting fixtures, controls systems, and project specifications
• Familiarity with manufacturer rep networks and distribution channels
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience with Eclipse ERP (Epicor Eclipse) or similar distribution ERP systems
• Proficiency in Bluebeam for plan review, markups, and takeoffs
• Experience performing lighting takeoffs from construction drawings
• Background in commercial, industrial, or institutional lighting projects
• Understanding of lighting controls integration and energy code requirements
