Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Roadway Design Engineer, based in Fulton Market with projects all over the Greater Chicago Area. The Roadway Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing plans for roadway projects, preparing and reviewing technical reports, conducting project analysis, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Additional responsibilities include adherence to relevant design standards, managing project deliverables, and ensuring quality and accuracy in all assigned tasks.
Qualifications- Experience in roadway design, engineering principles, and familiarity with roadway design standards (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD).
- Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with teams.
- Ability to manage deadlines, coordinate with various stakeholders, and work in a hybrid environment (on-site and remote).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with preference for candidates who hold or are pursuing PE licensure.
- Experience in transportation or infrastructure projects and a strong commitment to quality design is a plus.
