Overview
Job Title: Deposit Operations Coordinator
Location: Burling Bank in Chicago, IL
The Deposit Operations department at Burling Bank is responsible for direct oversight of banking and treasury operations while partnering with our Client Services team to provide unparalleled financial services to bank clients. This role includes participating in departmental projects, working to improve bank systems and services, and at times facilitating client inquiries and requests. The role also requires an ability to work well as part of a team, communicate, and contribute to the positive employee culture at Burling Bank.
Key Responsibilities- Contribution to operational needs, primarily in the Deposits department: reviewing reports, assisting with audits and exams, fraud mitigation, etc.
- Execute and review banking transactions in a timely manner. This includes wires, ACH, account-to-account transfers, and more.
- Assist our client services team with client support and account maintenance when needed, including fielding incoming calls, messages, and in-person support including teller line operations.
- Collaboration with the client services team to improve and quicken client-facing processes such as general onboarding, deposit account opening, and time to resolution of other client inquiries.
- Develop the capacity to explain and inform clients of available banking services – including, but not limited to, deposit accounts and lending offerings.
- Participation in projects and bank initiatives pertaining to the department or to Burling Bank as a whole.
- Collaborating with teams and individuals in other bank departments to achieve organizational goals and fulfill client needs.
- Assisting in, and at times playing a central role in, training of future Burling Bank employees.

- Early career position:
Bachelor’s degree required, Business or related field preferred - 1-2 years of experience with banking systems preferred but not required
- Previous job / internship experience in a related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
Excel, Word, Outlook
