Senior Business Analyst - Finance (FP&A)
Reports to: U.S. CFO
The PositionOur client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in finance. The primary function of this role is to turn complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable strategies that drive business decisions. This position will focus on improving profitability and streamlining performance across a network of locations, directly supporting growth objectives. The ideal candidate will perform detailed market and financial assessments, analyze potential investment opportunities, and work closely with teams across finance, operations, and marketing to generate strategic insights for executive leadership.
Your work will be essential in guiding major initiatives through detailed financial forecasting, performance tracking, and high-level reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial models and valuation analyses to assess new location openings, acquisitions, and performance improvement initiatives
- Partner with operations, finance, and marketing teams to analyze unit-level performance, customer metrics, and margin drivers
- Conduct competitive and market analyses to identify emerging trends in a multi-location consumer environment
- Evaluate and interpret financial statements, market trends, and economic indicators. Monitor and report on industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes
- Prepare and present executive-level dashboards, investment memos, and board presentations summarizing key findings and strategic recommendations
- Partner with leadership to refine pricing, inventory, and capital allocation strategies based on analytical insights
- Lead and support complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives and analytical projects
- Support integration of newly acquired locations by developing KPIs and financial frameworks to measure success
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, equity research, corporate strategy, or comparable analytical roles
- Experience in multi-unit retail, healthcare services, or other customer-facing environments preferred
- Proven success building financial models, performing valuation and ROI analyses, and supporting data-driven decision-making
- Strong understanding of unit economics, retail or service operations, and growth strategies. Demonstrated ability to guide organizations through strategy development and implementation
- Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with strong business acumen
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Experience with financial and market research tools such as Capital IQ, Fact Set, Tableau, or Power BI preferred
