We are currently seeking Mental Health Associates for Riveredge Hospital. We have multiple openings with various shift and schedule options. Please apply to this posting and discuss your interests with the hiring managers if selected for an interview.

The Mental Health Associate functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from children to adults, depending on the unit. Responsibilities include facilitating group activities and assisting with milieu management. Mental Health Associates work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.

- Two (2) or more years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.

Additional Requirements:

- Successful completion of CPR and CPI training during orientation.

- May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
