As the Fixed Assets & Purchasing Manager for the North Central Health District, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals working to protect the health and well‑being of communities across the state by supporting vital public health initiatives. PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities Administrative and County Support
- Builds and maintains a good rapport and working relationship with NCHD staff.
- Offers excellent internal and external customer service.
- Upon receipt, process purchase orders.
- Works with Accounts Payable to ensure checks are cut and the procurement process is completed within all counties.
- Assist counties with district credit card usage when needed.
- Train staff as required on the Procurement and Purchasing process.
- Train new hires in the Travel reimbursement process.
- Acts as a liaison between the purchasing vendors and programs for placing supply orders.
- Prepares Purchase orders and follows through on orders being received and paid.
- Sets up and maintains vendor supply list.
- Supervises the Receptionist and ensures the receptionist area is covered at all times.
- Assist the receptionist with scheduling and maintaining fleet vehicles.
High school diploma/GED and (5) years of job‑related accounting or fiscal experience which includes two (2) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Accounting Technician 3 (FIT
022) or position equivalent.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business/Public Administration, or Finance.
- Computer experience (Word, Excel, data entry, etc.)
- Experience with account reconciliations.
