Clinical Dietitian

Hourly Pay Range: $28.47 - $42.71. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9 am-3 pm. One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every 4th-5th weekend.

The Clinical Dietitian provides nutritional services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with patient medical program goals and objectives. The Clinical Dietitian's primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutritional services and medical nutrition therapy to support strategic wellness objectives and guidance for all patients.

• Design and develop consumer nutrition, health and wellness education programs and/or services targeting current user groups and collect data on risk indicators. Includes identifying and developing evaluation criteria for assessing effectiveness of these programs.
• Perform nutritional, health, and wellness screening and assessment.
• Manage ongoing nutritional care plans based upon the developmental needs of each patient‑member.
• Prepare and complete patient‑member records and documentation support according to licensure guidelines.
• Contribute to the nutrition‑specific education/in‑service training of patients, professional staff, colleagues, support staff, and students when required.
• Provide appropriate documentation that summarizes the nutrition care plan in the patient’s medical record, including nutritional assessment, diagnosis, plan, implementation, and progress toward needs.
• Demonstrate accountability for the proper use of patient’s protected health information. Utilize patient scheduling and monitor/maintain patients through the electronic medical record.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition (Required)
• 1 year clinical dietitian experience preferred
• Registered Dietician (RD) – Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) required
• AHA Heartsaver CPR – American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
