LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Manager to join our client's organization in the Union, IL area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage and support a wide range of HR activities, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, performance cycles, and separation processes.
- Ensure organizational compliance with all federal, Illinois, and Wisconsin employment regulations.
- Keep employee files, HRIS data, and personnel documentation accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Create, refine, and implement HR policies and procedures designed for multi‑state manufacturing operations.
- Advise supervisors and managers on employee relations matters, corrective action, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Oversee payroll workflows, benefits administration, and workers’ compensation cases.
- Coordinate safety initiatives and employee training programs aligned with OSHA and state‑specific requirements.
- Draft, maintain, and update employee handbooks across locations.
- Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging programs.
- Lead or assist in workplace investigations, addressing concerns professionally and promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Illinois and Wisconsin labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience working with Paycor or similar HR/payroll systems.
- Ability to travel between Illinois and Wisconsin locations as needed.
