Creditors’ Rights Litigation Associate –
Location:
Chicago, IL. A well-regarded national firm is seeking an associate to join its Creditors’ Rights Litigation team in Chicago. The practice supports lenders, financial institutions, and corporate clients in complex recovery actions, bankruptcy proceedings, and commercial disputes. This is an opportunity to join a strong, collaborative group with consistent exposure to sophisticated creditors’ rights matters.
- Represent creditors in litigation, workouts, restructurings, and bankruptcy-related disputes.
- Draft motions, briefs, and pleadings for state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
- Manage discovery, conduct legal research, and assist in evidentiary hearings.
- Support partners on strategy, case preparation, and negotiations.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- 3–5 years of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, or commercial litigation experience gained at a law firm.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Member of the Illinois Bar (or eligible for admission).
- Salary Range: Competitive market rate (DOE)
