Morrison Container Handling Solutions, the leading container handling expert in the packaging industry, is seeking a Field Service and Manufacturing Assembly Technician to learn about our equipment as an assembly team member and travel to our customers for onsite support. This position will allow you to help us grow this department with your expertise and be the industry leader in providing the best in customer support for the packaging industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES for Field Service and Manufacturing Assembly Technician- Work with our Assembly team and become an expert in our products and container handling nuance
- Follow and maintain processes in-house for machine assembly
- Frequent overnight travel (60-80% of the time) to customer facilities primarily within the United States, to measure, install, evaluate, troubleshoot or repair equipment. Additional compensation on hourly rate applied for weekend and travel hours.
- Work with customers’ on-site production technicians and engineers to ensure the smooth operation of machinery while maintaining Morrison’s high standard of customer service, providing training when needed
- Create, follow and maintain standardized processes for recording in-field activities, such as machine adjustments, alterations necessary, rework needed, customer requests, etc.
- Gather necessary parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials and assemble components and machines; read and understand engineering prints; test machinery methodically and comprehensively
- Collaborate with engineers to relay progress and improve or alter parts, assemblies, or components

, working tirelessly to provide the most positive customer experiences, seeking solutions to problems big and small
- 5+ years of experience assembling a variety of mechanical machines and components preferred
- College courses or degrees are preferred, but not necessary as we will consider the experience
- Comfortable using and navigating various technological tools, such as computers, smartphones, Face Time, Skype, recording videos, participating in Web Ex sessions, etc.
- Proven aptitude for and interest in machines and their functions; ability to read assembly prints required
- Approachable, friendly demeanor; the person in this position is sometimes the only “face” of Morrison to the customer and your customer service skills are vital
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment/ ability to understand and follow plant sanitation standards
