Job Summary

We’re looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyone’s journeys better. The position is responsible for supervising employees in the equipment, pre‑load, liquor/beverage and transportation areas and ensuring timely completion of all required activities in support of catering efforts. Target Salary Range: $60,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct all equipment, liquor/beverage process employees.
  • Maintain quality production standards for all accounts.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and specification books for airline customers.
  • Prepare management reports including attendance, HAACCP and labor.
  • Ensure safety, quality and compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate airline diagrams, specifications and codes per Gate Gourmet procedures.
  • Conduct inventory of Gate Gourmet products and customer materials, and complete requisitions for the storeroom.
  • Maintain daily temperature logs and other required logs and reports.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff for preventive maintenance of machinery and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Control food cost and other controllable costs and work with management to improve unit performance.
  • Evaluate employee performance, coach, counsel, and prepare corrective action; liaise with HR and support functions.
  • Balance workflow, divide responsibilities among employees on each shift, schedule shifts, and call in employees for coverage as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with wage & hour policy, rest and meal breaks, and company processes.
  • Train and monitor employees on proper work procedures to maximize productivity while minimizing labor and food expenses.
  • Monitor daily manpower planning and schedule employees; retain employees and reduce turnover.
  • Prepare corrective actions in compliance with union/collective bargaining agreements when applicable.
  • Review and ensure employees are in correct cost centers, job titles, and pay rates based on wage scales and seniority.

Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
Experience
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in a high‑volume, manufacturing, food production, or catering environment.
Technical Skills
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees.
  • Labor relations experience a plus.
  • Ability to train others and give daily feedback.
  • Excellent time‑management, organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Innovative mindset and ability to improve operations.
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Must obtain Serv Safe Certification;
    Serv Safe Certified preferred.
Language / Communication
  • Clear speaking and writing; active listening.
  • Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish a plus.
