Responsibilities
The CNC Machine Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Schiller Park, IL. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints and work orders, performing machine adjustments and tool changes, measuring and inspecting parts, and documenting production and quality data.
The CNC Machine Operator will work closely with supervisors, quality control staff, and engineering team members to resolve issues, maintain machine performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves routine machine maintenance, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- One year of experience, minimum.
- Proficiency in Machine Operation, including setup, adjustment, and routine maintenance of CNC equipment.
- Experience with Machining and Milling processes for producing precision parts to tight tolerances.
- Ability to work with industrial Machinery, including lathes, CNC turn centers, and related equipment.
- Strong Quality Control skills, including part inspection, use of measurement tools, and accurate documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production work orders.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safety and cleanliness on the shop floor.
- Previous experience in a precision manufacturing environment; familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF standards is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or CNC operation is preferred.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, stand for extended periods, and handle physical aspects of machine operation.
