  • Monitor the market for upcoming projects and early‑stage opportunities
  • Collaborate with estimating, operations, marketing, and leadership on pursuits
  • Gather client feedback and help improve UPI’s sales tools and processes
  • Prepare and maintain prequalification and vendor registration materials
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • (construction industry experience preferred)
  • Proven success generating new business and managing a sales pipeline
  • Comfortable with cold calling, outreach, and relationship‑driven selling
  • Confident presenter with strong communication skills
  • Organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage travel, events, and multiple opportunities
  • Experience with CRM systems (especially Dynamics) and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • Hybrid role (remote and in‑office with supervisor discretion)
  • Up to 50% travel for client visits, events, and conferences
  • Full‑time role; occasional evenings or weekends based on client or event needs
How Success Is Measured
  • Growth in new client relationships and pipeline
  • Consistent, scalable year‑over‑year business growth
  • Effective use of the business development budget
  • Strong collaboration and communication across teams
  • Commitment to safety, ethics, and compliance
