Field Service Technician

Looking for a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to become a valuable member of our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Coil Processing Systems within a heavy industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities

Electrical and Electronic Systems:
You will troubleshoot, install, commission, maintain, and repair a wide range of electrical and electronic systems and equipment. This includes working with schematics, AC/DC systems, and PLCs.

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems:
Efficient troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematics is preferred.

Operator Training:
You will assist in training operators to run coil processing equipment.

Independence and Teamwork:
The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively with other technicians.

Environmental Conditions:

Although most plants are heated and relatively clean be prepared to work in environments that may be hot, cold, dirty and greasy

Requirements

Education:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing and/or industrial settings, is needed and relevant military service
Work Commitment:
Willingness to work overtime as necessary and always adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
Travel:
This position requires travel approximately 50 to 75% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

Industrial

Experience:

2 years of verifiable work experience in an industrial environment.
Steel Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the steel industry, particularly flat roll coil processing equipment, is advantageous.
Maintenance

Experience:

Previous hands-on maintenance experience is beneficial for understanding machinery.
