Entry Level Service Technician

The Service Technician diagnoses and performs standard mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and assembles equipment for the company and customers. Service Technician’s perform work in an efficient and accurate manner to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability. Employees are responsible for representing the company in a professional and courteous manner to customers; maintaining their person, shop space, tools, and assigned vehicles in a clean and organized manner;

and working as part of a team.

Expectations and pay commensurate based on individual knowledge and experience.

Essential duties and responsibilities are representative of the work to be performed and may not be all inclusive.

• Works closely with Service Manager and/or experienced Service Technician’s
• Ability to properly use or learn to properly use diagnostic equipment
• Ability to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on low complexity assignments, as assigned by the Service Manager
• Ability to set-up and/or prepare new equipment for customer delivery
• Ability to use a forklift to move equipment and/or unload newly delivered equipment, pull trailers, and operate equipment
• Ability to learn and/or ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information from schematics, technical manuals, drawing and procedures
• Demonstrate an understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and standard mechanical operations
• Daily completion of all work orders, timesheets, and warranty worksheets
• Maintain a current knowledge of products and technology by participating in educational opportunities
• Maintain a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license

• Ability to frequently lift or move 10 to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move 75 pounds or more
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds of force
• Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary
• Ability to climb a ladder and carry an object while climbing
• Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms
• Generally required to stand for prolonged periods of time
