Position Objective
This position is a limited appointment through the term of the agreement for the school year. Continuation of employment will be reviewed based on staffing needs. The role is responsible for custodial and routine to semi‑skilled maintenance activities of a K-8 or middle school facility. The officer directly oversees and supports custodial workers or custodial contractors and maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment.

Duties & Responsibilities- Oversees district employees or contracted workers, including prioritizing and assigning work; providing input for performance evaluations; and ensuring staff are appropriately trained.
- Conducts inspections of facilities to ensure systems and equipment operate properly, efficiently, and meet district standards.
- Oversees activities and participates in monitoring, operating, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of district equipment and facilities to ensure proper operations, security, and compliance.
- Provides customer service by responding to requests from staff, administrators, parents, vendors, visitors, students, and other interested parties.
- Coordinates and participates in facility activities such as setting up for events, moving boxes, preventative maintenance, repairs, and gymnasium‑related tasks.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Reviews and prepares schedules, work orders, logs, and reports, including compiling data, checking records, and submitting information to appropriate individuals.
- Participates in facility expansion/renovation design activities and meetings.
- Coordinates staffing and provides support for middle school athletics and events.
- Performs other duties of similar nature or level.
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., and two years of relevant maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform essential duties.

- Perform inspections and identify needed repairs
- Use a computer and related software applications
- Plan and manage projects
- Gymnasium maintenance, operation, and safety practices
- Communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with coworkers, supervisors, and the public
Requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Heavy work:
Exerting up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, or up to 20 lbs constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.
