Maintenance Engineer – Hotel Valley Ho

The Maintenance Engineer is an hourly staff position within the Engineering department at Hotel Valley Ho. The main focus of this role is to perform preventive and/or unscheduled maintenance on all hotel building systems and mechanical equipment. The engineer will respond to guest requests and assist as directed by the Assistant Chief or Director of Engineering.

Tuesday & Wednesday: 2:30pm – 11:00pm | Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 7:00am – 3:30pm.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Assist guests with service requests as needed.
• Use and learn computer‑based systems such as energy management, electronic key, CMMS, and HVACR controls.
• Work frequently with electrical circuits, plumbing systems, and power and hand tools.
• Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude, ensuring work is completed on time and to satisfactory standards.

• Proficient written, verbal, and spoken communication in English.
• Ability to follow instructions and act proactively.
• Previous resort maintenance or similar experience preferred.
• Proven mechanical aptitude in HVACR, electrical, plumbing, commercial food equipment, or building construction/repair.
• Basic understanding of Windows® based computer systems (Word, Excel, etc.) or willingness to learn.
