Dishwasher

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen/dining areas using machine and manual methods; supports safe, efficient kitchen operations.

• Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and organizational standards; sort/rinse dishes; load/ unload dish machine; rewash soiled items as needed.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays; set up/break down dish area; clean/roll mats; fill/empty soak tubs; sweep/mop; remove trash; clean around dumpster.
• Assemble/disassemble dish machine; maintain dry, safe floors; notify manager if wash/ rinse cycles fall below required temperatures.
• Maintain strict hand‑hygiene when switching from dirty to clean items; adhere to quality and presentation standards; support general kitchen/dining cleaning as directed.

• Greet residents, employees, and guests warmly—by name and with a smile. Treat everyone with courtesy and respect; embrace and value our differences. Anticipate needs and act proactively; listen and respond promptly and enthusiastically.
• Hold ourselves and one another accountable; maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance.
• Pay attention to details; ask, “Is there anything else I can do for you?”

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum one (1) year restaurant/senior living or equivalent back‑of‑house experience.

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation; local Health Department/OSHA standards; communication and teamwork.
• State‑required food safety certification/license as applicable.
• Comfort using Gardens Care’s approved systems is required:
  Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet), ECP (care management), Sagely (life enrichment/ activity documentation), and ADP (timekeeping, payroll, scheduling).

• Medical clearance per policy.

• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; climb/reach/bend/twist occasionally; stand/walk for most of an 8‑hr day; frequent handling of food service items.

• Read/communicate effectively; maintain a safe work environment.
• Kitchen with heat and typical BOH hazards; indoor/outdoor tasks as needed.
