GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Provide light maintenance, custodial and grounds services at the assigned school site. Maintain flexibility for service in all areas. This position will be responsible to perform light duties in the maintenance, custodial and ground areas.

MAJOR TASKS:

• Clean , sanitize, and polish assigned classrooms, restrooms, hallways, workrooms, and drinking fountains. Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Assist with light facility upkeep under supervision, such as changing light bulbs, cleaning fixture lenses, replacing low-level ceiling tiles, and minor touch-up painting.
• Assist with basic exterior landscaping, trash pickup on grounds, and keeping entryways clean and presentable.
• Move, arrange, and set up furniture, tables, and equipment for district events or summer programs.
• Follow all safety guidelines, wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and report facility hazards or repair needs to the Lead Custodian.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School student in good standing
• Must maintain at least a “C” average (2.0 GPA or higher).
• Strong attendance record, positive attitude, willingness to follow safety directions, and ability to work effectively in a team, environment.
• Exhibit flexibility, creativity, and willingness to learn.
