Maintenance Assistant - Full Time 8:30AM-4:30PM, Every Other Weekend On Call

Hamilton Arms Center is currently hiring for a full time Maintenance Assistant! We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic candidate to join our exceptional team of caregivers!

- A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma.
- 1 year of experience in maintenance performing the duties associated with a Maintenance Assistant preferred.
- Experience with "handyman" work is preferred.
- Experience with electrical and painting also preferred.
- Able to perform basic arithmetic skills such as measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in order to do basic calculations such as estimating, etc.
- Able to occasionally operate general office equipment.
- Able to frequently use general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment such as, but not limited to, hand tools, pressure washers, blowers, paint equipment, ice removal equipment, ladders, landscaping equipment, sanders and safety equipment.
- Must possess valid driver's license.
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
- Receiving written work orders and verbal instructions and completes repairs.
- Diagnose and repair problems in such areas as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, and waste management systems.
- Apply all applicable policies and procedures such as, but not limited to, company operating and safety standards. Promote safe work practices among on-site staff.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, building codes and environmental laws and regulations.
- Respond to residents requests and work with residents to minimize/resolve problems and complaints. Follow-through to ensure issue is resolved.
- May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.
- Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
