Overview
As a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will help make Parker Dam State Park a clean, safe, and welcoming place. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and taking on a variety of tasks. Your efforts will support the park’s natural beauty and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities- Building and Facility Repairs: Make repairs using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other building trade skills
- Equipment Operation and Care: Operate and assist with the care and cleaning of park vehicles and equipment
- Grounds Upkeep: Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and outdoor areas through mowing, trimming, planting, and general cleanup
- Construction Support: Build simple forms, mix and place cement, finish concrete, and lay stone or block walls
- Painting and Maintenance: Paint or stain buildings, signs, and gates as needed
- Custodial Tasks: Clean, supply, and make minor routine repairs to restrooms, offices, and other buildings

Work Schedule and Additional Information- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 and the employee is placed on leave without pay, returning approximately March 2027.
- Typical work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Shifts and days will vary, including weekends and holidays. You will work 5 of 7 days (37.5 hours per week).
- Telework: There is no telework option for this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
- Or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
