Building Maintenance Technician ll

Position Overview

The Warehouse Mechanic oversees and repairs the building infrastructure and related support systems. This role will assist in the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of all building-related infrastructure and equipment including roofs, structural building components, site components, dock and man doors, dock plates, bollards, sprinkler systems, electrical systems, and other protection elements.

• Plan, requisition materials, assemble, and install machines and equipment such as conveyors, racks, doors, dock equipment, curtains, fencing, guards, and more.
• Diagnose, repair, and report corrective measures for malfunctioning equipment and systems and communicate with employers and other mechanics.
• Perform daily and weekly inspections of all systems’ components to ensure proper operation and system integrity.
• Safely start systems, observe operation, read gauges and instrumentation, and perform adjustments as required for the proper operation of equipment and systems.
• Develop and perform preventative maintenance procedures for mechanical systems and perform tasks as required by equipment manufacturers.
