• 2‑week rotation
• Full Time – 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (32 or 40 hours)
• Week 1

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Applicants under 18 must have a workers permit and parents' consent for onboarding documents

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long‑term care setting is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.

Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

The dietary aide assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift. They report to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

• Learn food service routine within a short period
• Set up meal trays
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes
• Assist with serving meals
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at shift start
• Observe water temperatures during dishwashing cycles
• Operate dishwasher
• Prepare nourishment and snacks
• Sweep and mop kitchen
• Carry out trash and garbage
• Store groceries in a safe, orderly and clean manner
• Leave kitchen clean and sanitary; assist cook or supervisor when called upon
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff
• Work cooperatively and harmoniously with personnel in all departments

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Mathematical skills: ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; solve practical problems; interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must obtain and maintain a food handler’s certificate.

Essential functions require standing and/or walking frequently, sitting occasionally, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking and/or hearing, tasting/smelling, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling occasionally, and maintaining vision, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
