The Delaware Valley SD is seeking a dependable and skilled Part-Time Auto Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of the district's fleet of school buses, vans, and service vehicles. This position works afternoon/evening hours to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for daily routes/work.

• Perform preventative maintenance on school district vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Conduct state inspections and safety checks (if certified)
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
• Ensure compliance with state safety regulations and district standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Respond to occasional emergency repair needs as required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic preferred
• Experience working with heavy‑duty vehicles and/or school buses strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license required; CDL (or willingness to obtain) preferred
• State inspection license (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently during assigned shift

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and work in a garage environment for extended periods

• Competitive hourly rate at $27.76 for probationary period and moving to $28.76 at the end of probationary period.
• Part‑time position (approximately 23‑24.5 hours per week)

An Act 34 Criminal History Clearance Report, an Act 151 Child Abuse History Clearance Report, an FBI Fingerprint Clearance Report and pre‑employment drug test are required.
