Grounds Keeper

Job Summary

The Grounds Keeper is responsible for overseeing the general upkeep of the building, grounds, and its infrastructure.

• Oversee general upkeep of building, grounds, and infrastructure.
• Maintain building operations to ensure safety and functionality.
• Perform basic, routine, and emergency repairs.
• Install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
• Assist with miscellaneous facility projects (painting, drywall, carpentry, fixture installation, furniture/materials moving).
• Maintain grounds (pest control, landscaping, lawn care, and tree trimming).
• Housekeeping/janitorial upkeep (sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, trash removal).
• Work in a safe manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, waste management systems, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• 1-3 years of general work experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

• Stand for long periods of time, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or balance
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to work in an environment exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
