Seattle Central College is looking to hire a Maintenance Mechanic 2‑Locksmith in the Facilities and Plant Operations Department.
Salary Range for this position is $54,432 to $71,388 annually (depending on experience).
Opportunity is open until filled, first review of materials will begin February 16th, 2026.
Position SummaryThis is the journey, working or occupational level of the series. Positions at this level perform a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair, remodeling and construction of buildings, grounds, machinery, mechanical facilities and equipment, and systems and equipment. Incumbents work independently and utilize a general knowledge of several related skill fields such as plumbing, electrical, welding, carpentry, and machinist work.
This position holds a specialization in locksmithing duties including installation, repair, re‑keying, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic locking devices, digital locks, door hardware, and keying control systems across campus facilities.
This position may provide functional guidance or lead work activities related to specialized maintenance functions, including locksmith operations.
This position is typically scheduled to work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The schedule may vary depending on program needs. May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE.
