Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This role requires weekend availability.

Salary: $23.09 per hour. This is a non-exempt FLSA position.

Position Summary

The Facilities Services Technician supports daily operations by managing soft services such as cleaning and waste management, and occasionally performs mailroom tasks, venue/room setup, and general customer service tasks. The technician works closely with the facility managers and other staff to maintain a safe, welcoming, and well‑organized environment for all occupants and visitors.

This is a temporary role expected, but not guaranteed, to last from May through September 2026.

Job Duties
  • Cleaning and Housekeeping:
    Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies to ensure all areas meet hygiene standards.
  • Minor Landscaping:
    Support the upkeep of outdoor areas by performing light landscaping duties such as leaf and debris removal, trimming shrubs, picking up litter, and ensuring entrances and walkways remain tidy and presentable.
  • Waste Management:
    Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with facility policies and environmental guidelines.
  • Mailroom and Logistics Support:
    Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; assist with outgoing shipments and manage courier services as needed.
  • Venue/room Setup:
    Prepare and organize event spaces and meeting rooms, including furniture arrangement, equipment setup, and provisioning of additional materials when required.
  • Customer Service:
    Address occupant and visitor requests courteously and efficiently, providing information, directions, or assistance as needed.
  • Stock and Supplies Management:
    Monitor, order, and replenish cleaning materials, restroom supplies, and consumable office supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance:
    Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; report hazards or maintenance issues promptly to the relevant teams.
  • Record Keeping:
    Maintain logs and checklists for completed tasks, inventory, and incidents as required by facility management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in facility management or cleaning services is a plus. Equal consideration will be given to candidates with relevant experience in lieu of education or certifications.
  • Previous experience in facilities, cleaning, hospitality, or customer service roles preferred.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
