Description
This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that maintains the physical environment of the hospital at the highest level of cleanliness, both from an appearance and infection control standpoint. The role demonstrates proficiency in basic and advanced cleaning techniques, supply stocking, and works in areas requiring special cleaning such as Surgery, Labor & Delivery, NICU, Emergency Room, and Floorcare.
Interaction and contact with visitors, patients, or staff can vary from limited to high. The employee consistently demonstrates skill and knowledge in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques, and infection control methods necessary to meet department quality standards. They are knowledgeable in the safe handling and removal of medical waste, including hazardous, regulated, infectious, recyclable, and regular waste, and are proficient in computer use with the required frequency.
- 1 year customer service experience.
- Vocational training and certification will also be considered.
- 1 year experience in housekeeping or janitorial/custodial work in a healthcare/long‑term care setting or hotel setting.
Pay range: $25.76 - $35.08. Additional compensation may be available via shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
