Environmental Service Technician​/Housekeeper

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Environmental Service Technicians/Housekeepers to support operations at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System located at 1660 S Columbian Way, Seattle, WA 98108. • Outpatient Rooms:
  High dust, wipe walls and all furniture in rooms. Clean any debris or paint that may have been left by building contractors. Floors will be mopped with germicidal solution. Carpeted floors will be vacuumed. All horizontal surfaces will be kept free of dust and debris. Change out cubical curtains when needed.
• Maintain Floors:
  Sweep, dust mop, damp mop, wet mop, dry buffed, and spray buffed to ensure a uniform, glossy appearance and free from dirt, debris, dust, scuff and heel marks, other stains and discoloration, and other foreign matter. Baseboards, corners, and wall/floor edges shall also be clean.
• Break room:
  Dust mop, wet mop and refinished. Clean counters, sinks, shelving and wipe with VA approved germicidal. Wipe down tables, chairs and furnishings with VA approved germicidal, leaving free of particles, smears or stains.
• Common Areas:
  Sweep, mop and wipe down waiting areas, chairs, tables, windowsills, stairwells, corridors with VA approved germicidal throughout the day. Clean entrance mats as required.
• Remove Trash:
  Remove trash from areas at end of each day. Deposit in nearest outside trash container. Clean receptacles, keep free of foreign matter and odors. Use red bags or RMW for chemo waste.
• Clean and Disinfect:
  Use EPA approved hospital grade germicidal detergent to clean and disinfect sinks, water fountains and plumbing fixtures. Polish dry all surfaces. Keep waiting rooms free of paper, trash, empty bottles and discarded material.
• Clean Interior Glass and Mirrors:
  Clean all interior glass, including glass in doors, partitions, walls, display cases, directory boards, fire extinguisher case, check-in windows, pharmacy windows, nurses station, and glass picture frames. No traces of film, dirt, streaks, smudges, water or foreign matter.
• Vacuum Carpets:
  Vacuum carpeted areas daily. Remove visible dirt, debris and litter.
• Clean Carpets:
  Clean carpets per standard commercial practices. Remove cleaning solutions from baseboards, furniture, trash receptacles and other items.
• Vacuum and Clean Floor Mats:
  Vacuum and clean interior and exterior floor mats. Remove vacuum stains and keep mats free of lint and litter.
• General Spot Cleaning:
  Spot clean walls, partitions, vents, grillwork, doors, door guards, door handles, push bars, kick plates, light switches, temperature controls and fixtures.
• General Dusting:
  Dust and clean horizontal surfaces, wiping with VA approved germicidal.
• Change out cubical curtains when needed or soiled.

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
• Lift up to 20 lbs.
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
