Per Diem Custodian
The Secaucus Board of Education invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Per Diem Custodian. Qualifications and requirements include a minimum of a high school degree or equivalent. Custodial/maintenance experience is a plus. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to lift a minimum of twenty (20) pounds is required. Basic functions and responsibilities include sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Cleaning and polishing furniture and desks. Emptying wastebaskets and delivering waste to dumpsters. Cleaning stalls/urinals, replenishing toilet tissues, paper towels, and soap dispensers, cleaning sinks, and mopping floors in bathrooms. Maintaining building premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, including snow removal. Performing other custodial/maintenance duties as assigned. Hourly rate and employment compensation is $17.00/hour. The Secaucus Board of Education is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
