Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Department SummaryThe Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the manufacturing facilities, grounds, and equipment in good working order. Leads will oversee, direct, and work with the facilities maintenance team on a daily basis, including scheduling and working with the team to complete all projects, maintenance requests, and repairs in a timely manner.
Roles & Responsibilities- Maintain a high level of customer service to all entities within the company.
- Leverage experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Install drywall, laminate, concrete, and other materials.
- Construct walls, finishes, and trim.
- Clean and paint interior and exterior production spaces.
- Install and repair plumbing, vacuum lines, and air lines.
- Maintain facility grounds, using landscaping equipment, including seasonal salting/sanding and snow removal of walkways and parking lots.
- Order materials and tooling as needed.
- Perform hardware installation (door handles, hinges, locks, etc.) and assemble/move furniture.
- Operate equipment such as aerial lifts, forklifts, backhoes, scissor and boom lifts extending to a height of 30'.
- Adhere to JI Safety, Haz Mat, and JI Policies.
- Work well both independently and with others.
- Meet and complete multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Maintain punctuality and good attendance; this is an essential function of the job.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Previous experience in general facility maintenance or construction.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status per ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Janicki will assist with gaining access.
- Must agree to enter a continuous evaluation program for the Special Access Program or other government access requirements.
- Two-year technical certificate or degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Wage range: $20 - $46 an hour plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range is an estimate; actual offer will be based on experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
