As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment by:

• Performingroutine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Conductingpreventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Completingrequired facility inspections and maintenance logs, including watertemperatures, call lights, generators, and fire alarm systems.
• Troubleshootingmaintenance issues and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the upkeep of the facility grounds and exterior areas.
• Coordinatingmaintenance activities with other departments to minimize disruption toresident care.
• Reportingsupply needs, equipment concerns, and repair recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assisting with the orientation and training of new maintenance team members asneeded.
• Supporting the Maintenance Department and serving as a resource in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Participating in required training, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Performing other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

• Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, long-term care, commercialfacilities, or a similar environment preferred.
• General knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Abilityto safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Abilityto read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Abilityto work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments.
• Abilityto safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Abilityto pass a background check.
