Part Time Janitor

Overview

Approximate schedule: ~25 hours per week at $20.00 per hour.

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our customer’s buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Overall duties include removing debris and maintaining common space areas
• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided Service Master products, tools, and procedures
• Cleaning duties include: sweeping, mopping, polishing, emptying trash, dusting, window cleaning, and restroom maintenance
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Use proper PPE where required
• Clean all common space areas including kitchen, cafeteria, lobby, and break room
• Place safety hazard signs in the building including “wet floor” signs as necessary
• Monitor, clean, service, and restock restrooms
• Respond immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crisis

• Constant up to 100% standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required
• On the job training provided to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Flexible and able to work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked environment
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude
• Be in uniform, dependable, and punctual
• Treat all coworkers and customers with courtesy and respect
