About the Role

The Housekeeping role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. The primary objective is to ensure all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and organized to meet established standards of hygiene and presentation. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to manage time effectively to complete daily cleaning tasks. Housekeepers contribute significantly to the overall customer experience by providing a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.

Additionally, this role supports health and safety protocols by properly handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights or a maximum of 30lbs safely.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication skills to interact courteously with customers and team members.

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a retail environment.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including cleaning restrooms, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning to the Department Head.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used properly and stored safely after each shift.

Housekeeping professionals utilize their attention to detail daily to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards, which directly impacts customer satisfaction and safety. Time management skills are essential to efficiently complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts. Communication skills enable effective interaction with customers and team members, ensuring requests and issues are addressed promptly. Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment ensures safe and effective use, minimizing risks and maintaining hygiene.

Preferred skill such as prior experience and the ability to handle complex cleaning challenges will contribute to a safer work environment.

This is a fulltime position. The work schedule is Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
