THE JOB

Venue Nation is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Mystic Lake Amphitheater to support our outdoor venue on a seasonal, as-needed basis during the summer months. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson or facilities professional looking to pick up flexible, part-time work without a fixed weekly schedule. The technician will handle small to mid-scale repair and improvement projects that are currently outsourced to contractors.

Work will be assigned on a project or call-in basis, depending on venue needs.

This role is a Part-Time Seasonal position.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

* Keep the venue safe and clean at all times, including by not limited to: clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, doors and walls of restrooms, keep all guest facing area free of trash, restock restroom paper materials and hygiene products as needed.

* Keep work areas neat and orderly, clean equipment and assist with other cleaning duties as assigned.

* Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

* Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.

* Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc.

* Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

* Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

* Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

* Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

* Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

* Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

* Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

* Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.

* 1-3 years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience

* Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety compliance standards.

* Experience performing plumbing, electrical, and general construction/repair work.

* Trade certification or state/local licensing (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)

* Experience in live event, entertainment, or high-traffic venue environments

* Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, pushing, balancing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and handling. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

* Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.

* Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

* Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with considerable noise and interruptions.
