A leading packaging manufacturer is seeking a Reliability Supervisor to provide leadership for maintenance and reliability operations within a high-volume manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for developing maintenance personnel, improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, and driving reliability initiatives that support safe and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys developing people, solving technical challenges, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. This position plays a key role in maximizing asset reliability, increasing equipment availability, and supporting long-term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Reliability Leadership- Lead and develop a multi-skilled maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Drive equipment reliability through preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Partner with Operations to improve uptime, increase efficiency, and minimize production disruptions.
- Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance execution.
- Support long-term reliability planning and asset performance improvement initiatives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel to strengthen technical skills and accountability.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support workforce development through training and performance management.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all maintenance activities.
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions to reduce safety incidents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and applicable regulations.
- Reinforce safe work practices and maintenance procedures.
- Utilize CMMS and other maintenance systems to manage work orders, equipment history, and maintenance planning.
- Monitor reliability metrics and maintenance KPIs to drive data-based decision making.
- Lead initiatives focused on improving asset performance, reducing costs, and extending equipment life.
- Support plant-wide continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence programs.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Provide leadership support during off-shifts, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
- Assist in prioritizing maintenance activities to meet production and customer demands.
- Experience leading, supervising, and developing maintenance or technical teams.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, military, or production environments.
- Experience utilizing CMMS, EAM, or similar maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation and controls, including PLCs, motors, drives, instrumentation, or related systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Maintenance leadership experience within packaging, corrugated, paper, pulp, or similar manufacturing industries.
- Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order prioritization.
- Proven success improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
- Technical degree, trade certification, or equivalent maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use maintenance data and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
- Lead maintenance and reliability efforts at a growing manufacturing facility.
