Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Facilities Building & Grounds Technician to oversee maintenance and repair activities during 2nd and 3rd shifts. This energetic role involves ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our manufacturing and office facilities. Apprenticeship OpportunitiesRyobi offers a Facilities Apprenticeship Program to educate and train associates to earn their Journeyperson certificate. Pay ranges for the Apprenticeship Program(or equivalent experience) is between $22.00 - $35.00 /hr.
Duties- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair electrical equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Conduct welding, residential painting, plumbing system maintenance, and repairs to uphold facility standards.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues; utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders and maintenance activities.
- Supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance on safety procedures, task prioritization, and quality standards.
- Oversee facilities grounds including landscaping, lighting, fencing, and general cleanliness to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring all facilities-related equipment is maintained in optimal condition for production needs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience with HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical equipment repair techniques.
- Skilled in welding, residential painting, and general carpentry tasks.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management; experience with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices.
- Supervising experience with leadership qualities to guide team members effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors when needed.
- Fluency in English for clear communication across shifts; ability to read schematics and technical documents fluently.
