Maintenance Technician

This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing all facilities and production equipment. You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues while performing scheduled preventive maintenance and documenting all work in an electronic system.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facilities and manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and simple electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to defined intervals and schedules in a timely manner.
  • Document maintenance activities, concerns, and resolutions in an electronic database with clear and accurate entries.
  • Develop and provide action plans to address recurring maintenance issues and share status reports as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support optimization of equipment performance and uptime through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and minimize production downtime.
Essential Skills
  • 1–3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment, or an associate's degree in a technical discipline in lieu of work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and simple electrical issues.
  • Functional knowledge of mechanical components such as valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance practices and schedules.
  • Ability to perform electrical maintenance tasks at a basic level in an industrial environment.
  • Skill in using and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document work in an electronic maintenance system.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline (such as industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical technology) is a plus and may substitute for required experience.
  • Experience working in a climate-controlled, healthcare-related or clean manufacturing environment.
  • Comfort working on a second shift schedule and flexibility within defined shift hours.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate maintenance status and action plans clearly.

Work Environment

This is a second shift position, typically scheduled Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with some flexibility on hours as needed. You will work in an industrial environment with production and facilities equipment, following appropriate safety guidelines and wearing suitable work boots supported by the provided stipend.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $70720.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
