Floor Technician

Job Type: Full-time

As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning floors in various settings, including commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently.

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and polishers
• Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to management
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Communicate effectively with team members and management

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Floor Technician or similar role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies

• Moderate physical activity:
• Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
• Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
• Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.
• Assist with cleaning up spills and waste (including human).
• Repetitive gripping of trays, mops, vacuums, etc.
• Exposure to sound of the floor buffer.
