Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton, CT is looking for a skilled and dependable Engineer to join our PM Shift team! In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our hotel running smoothly and ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable, well-maintained stay. • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel property during PM shift hours
• Respond promptly to guest room and common area maintenance requests, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues
• Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, equipment, and building infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting, fixtures, appliances, and other hotel systems
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, hotel standards, and Marriott brand guidelines
• Document completed work orders and communicate outstanding issues to the next shift
• Support the engineering team with special projects and renovations as needed

• Prior experience in hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related trade
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks during PM shift hours
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and guest service orientation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Relevant trade certifications or vocational training a plus
