Entry‑level shellfish nursery position. The position will support the raising of clam, geoduck and oyster seed at our nursery facility in Oyster Bay, Totten Inlet and Oakland Bay. Primary tasks for this position will involve washing, setting and screening shellfish seed and maintenance. No previous experience in aquaculture required.

This position will be physically demanding and will occur 95% of the time outside. The worker will travel to multiple nursery sites located on rafts over the water.

Possession of a Washington State Boater Education Card is strongly encouraged. Candidates who already hold this certification, or obtain it during employment, may be eligible for increased pay.

This is a seasonal position. The role will require working some weekends. Appropriate protective clothing is required for all weather conditions.

• Ability to stand and/or walk on uneven ground
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co‑workers, supervisors and managers
• Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
