Job Overview

Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas, performing janitorial duties as scheduled and ensuring a safe, tidy environment for staff and visitors.

• Perform all janitorial duties and tasks listed on the daily schedule.
• Execute hazardous waste responsibilities: collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain daily upkeep of the assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Identify and stop at-risk behaviors affecting self or others.
• Collaborate with teammates to complete work assignments.
• Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a clean work area.
• Adhere to company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules.
• Follow direction and respond to supervision.
• Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
• Fill in during staff shortages.
• Support the shift lead in completing punch‑list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service expectations and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems related to the environment.
• No supervisory responsibilities.

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• No specific educational requirement; 3–6 months of training or experience preferred.
• May need a valid driver’s license, completed safety and task‑training certifications, and forklift certification.
• Being bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willingness to share best practices with the team.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment upkeep and care.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Monday‑Friday: 10:30am–7:00pm. $16.50 – $17.50 per hour.
