Maintenance Mechanic Night

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs to all machinery, facilities, and utilities as per work order requests.
• Prepare, coordinate, and complete work orders for regular maintenance and preventive maintenance of machines, facilities, and utilities.
• Log and track work functions on production equipment to determine and periodically update the preventive maintenance program.
• Perform major preventive maintenance related to electrical or mechanical functions.
• Train other mechanics and operators to keep machinery in good working condition.
• Perform all work in compliance with established safety procedures.
• Complete maintenance work orders, and report work done, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Fill out daily timesheet for tasks performed and time spent.
• Determine items to be purchased or replaced and place requisitions with administration.
• Make recommendations for spare parts to be ordered to keep as stock items.
• Coordinate with maintenance manager on repair details, preventive maintenance, or improvements needed on equipment.

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills; knowledge of Thermoforming and Extrusion of plastics preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and controllers, including AC-DC-PLC, motors, systems, and controllers.
• Ability to read and work from mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Skill in using a variety of hand and power tools and shop tools.
• Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and determine root cause of problems.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on call for off‑hours emergencies.

• Capable of bending and lifting tool parts and machine equipment up to fifty pounds.
• Able to push, pull, or carry light loads.

Exposure to elevated temperatures, constant noise (hearing protection required), dust and fumes (PPE required).
